General

Our standard size range is from 0 - 36. However if you sit outside of this size range we can absolutely create for you. Please get in contact with our Flagship Showroom.

Yes. Request an appointment at our Flagship Showroom on Karangahape Road, or find your nearest stockist to try the range locally.

Appointments

We offer either 60 minute Saturday appointments or 90 minute weekday appointments. This give us plenty of time to understand your vision, explore different silhouettes and find the gowns that deserve a second look. Retry appointments are always complimentary.

We begin with you.

Your stylist will spend a little time getting to know your wedding, your personal style, what you have tried before and, most importantly, how you would like to feel on the day.  From there, we will curate a selection of gowns to try together. Expect considered advice, honest guidance and perhaps a few beautiful surprises along the way.

Just your beautiful self!

If you already have any special accessories or jewellery you are including in your bridal look you are welcome to bring them to match with your gown. Wear nude seamless underwear if you can.

Inspiration images are always welcome if you haven’t already emailed them to us and also an open mind. Trust us in this wonderful journey.

Of course! Bring the people whose opinions you trust most and whose company will make the experience special. Our fitting rooms can fit 4 guests comfortably. Please let us know if you wish to include more guests and we will do our very best to accommodate.

Appointments at our Auckland showroom start from $80 NZD.

Our Hera Flagship showroom holds one of the most extensive selections of Hera Couture gowns and sizes, with bridal samples ranging from UK6 to UK36.

While not every sample is available in every size, our stylists are highly experienced in fitting so you can clearly understand the silhouette, proportion and overall effect on your body.  With a design-led team, in-house alterations and fabrication expertise, we can also drape, pin and visualise potential customisations directly on your body, helping you explore the details, proportions and finishes you love before making a decision.

Ordering & Timelines

We recommend beginning your journey approximately 9–12 months before your wedding. This gives you time to enjoy the process, place your order without unnecessary pressure and allow for production, delivery and alterations.

Of course. Depending on your timeframe, we may have showroom pieces or gowns with creation timelines that could work beautifully for you. Reach out to our team and we will be transparent about what is realistically possible, what is currently available, and how we can make the most of your time with us. With our extensive collection in-store, our role is to guide you thoughtfully and do everything we can to help you find a gown you truly love. We also have in-house seamstresses to perfect that fit for you in a short period of time.

Each Hera gown is individually made to order, with time dedicated to its creation, construction and finishing. As a guide, our standard creation timeframe is approximately six months, with rush options sometimes available. Your stylist will confirm the timeframe for your chosen gown when you say YES, as this may vary depending on the design, level of customisation, hand beading work and the time of year.

Our collections span a considered range of price points, reflecting the fabric, construction and level of craftsmanship behind each gown.

HERA BLEU begins from $3,500 NZD. HERA COUTURE gowns start from $4500 NZD.

We believe pricing should feel clear and transparent. Once you have explored the collection in-store, your stylist will be happy to talk you through the pricing of the gowns you love, along with any customisations or additional elements you may be considering.

A 50% deposit secures your gown and allows our Atelier to begin its creation. If you are choosing a custom creation a 80% deposit is required before creation begins. The remaining balance is then payable according to the terms outlined at the time of purchase. Your stylist will talk you through everything clearly before your order is confirmed, so you can feel completely comfortable and excited about what happens next.

Alterations & Bespoke

Alterations are separate from the price of your gown, as every bride and every gown requires a different level of work. Once your gown has been selected, our team will guide you through what to expect and help you plan both the timing and investment required for your alterations.

Hera Couture gowns are made to order, not made to measure. Our gowns are created to your closest standard size, then tailored on your body to create the perfect fit.

Depending on the design, most Hera gowns can be thoughtfully customised. With possibilities including sleeves, straps, necklines, overskirts, trains, fabrications and other design details. Your stylist will guide you through what is technically possible, while preserving the balance, proportion and original integrity of the design so the final result still feels unmistakably Hera and beautifully your own.

It depends entirely on the design, the fabrics and the hours involved. We will give you a considered quote once we have talked through what you have in mind.

Shipping & Delivery

We do, and we have stockists across the world. Shipping is tracked and insured, with costs confirmed before your gown leaves us.

Our team package your gown with the most care to make sure they are protected in transit. Please take a look at our Journal post - How to care for your gown. For the steps required pre wedding day.

Made-to-order gowns are produced for you specifically and cannot be returned. Accessories bought online follow our standard returns policy — see Shipping & Returns for the detail.
