Mollie and Dáire — Hera Couture real bride

Myself and Dáire both live in Co. Tyrone in the North of Ireland. I am originally from Co. Monaghan in the Republic.

I was singing the national anthem at a football game in July 2016 and Dáire reached out to compliment my singing. And the rest is history!

Myself, my mum and my sister picked a day to go to two bridal boutiques in October 2024. One in Belfast, and the other was The Vow Bridal Boutique in Co. Tyrone. When we got to the Vow, we were welcomed by the gorgeous Natasha and she talked us through the designers. Hera Couture dresses caught my eye straight away! My sister saw Florence, and chose her as my ‘wild card’ option to try on. I thought ‘there’s no way could I ever pull this dress off’ but I tried her on anyway. My first thought was ‘woah she is BIG’ but I loved her so much. I picked another Hera dress to try on and loved it so much. I told Natasha that I will come back to try it on for my Second Look appointment.

Until .. my bridesmaids and hairdresser saw the pictures of Florence and told me I had to go back to try her on again.

I returned to The Vow to try Florence on and said yes to the dress. I felt like a princess!

My advice to brides choosing their dresses it not to overwhelm yourself with the experience. I picked two bridal boutiques to visit after lots of research. Too many options can cause a headache!

Another tip – you may think you know what you want before you go dress shopping but I can assure you that it’s not always the case. I saw myself in a fitted dress with long sleeves and a square neck. I couldn’t have picked a more different dress! Your wedding day is the one day you get to be a princess so I thought – why not!

There were so many special parts to our big day. Obviously the most special was marrying Dáire! As I am a wedding singer, music was a huge part of our day with all of our music suppliers being great friends of mine! My mum also sang so beautifully during our ceremony.

Another special moment of our day was when a butterfly landed on my hair directly after we were pronounced husband and wife. My Grandmother sadly passed away on 1 st January 2026 so I took it as a sign from heaven. She absolutely loved Dáire to pieces, so it’s so heartwarming to know that she was there with us on the day.

I could not recommend Kerri and Natasha from The Vow enough. From the moment I first walked through the door to my first appointment, they couldn’t have done enough for me. I tried on 4 Hera dresses and loved every single one of them. I could’ve stayed there all day!! They were constantly on hand to answer any questions I had about the dress and accessories. I booked the girls to come to me on the morning of the wedding for their steaming and dressing service. The girls went above and beyond that morning. Not only did they steam my dress and dress me, they did the same for my bridesmaids and mummy.
