There is something about finding the exact thing you had only ever pictured. The moment it was on, there was nothing left to decide.

Julian and I wanted a day that felt like us: unhurried, full of the people we love, and a little bit theatrical. The gown carried all of that.

Ooh the Lucienne gown is the dress of 10-year old Christian’s dreams. I always knew in my mind what I wanted for a wedding gown, but I hadn’t seen anything quite like what I was imagining -enter Hera Couture’s AW26 Luminaire Collection.

I wanted a wedding gown that was romantic and grand, that felt both elegant and bold. As soon as I tried the Lucienne on, I immediately felt like a bride and could see myself walking down the aisle wearing it.

There is so much to love about the gown itself, it is incredibly detailed; the corseted lace bodice, the satin skirt with the dramatised hips, and the pearls right down the back of the gown. I just appreciate every aspect of it, and it’s a testament to Katie’s craftsmanship. What I love most about the Lucienne gown is how truly beautiful I felt in it.

Christian and Julian — Hera Couture real bride

My wedding day was a dream come true. Of all of the special moments and conversations and declarations, for which there were many, the most special part was marrying the love of my life surrounded by all of our loved ones, at home in Waikato.
