Initially drawn to A-lines I fell in love with Le Belle. I wasn’t planning on getting a custom but after trying on Yvette I knew I had found something special. A blend of both and I had a winner. It was the bubble hem in particular that I fell in love with – it was the exact amount of “drama” I wanted while still feeling elegant with the fitted skirt. I loved the modern bodice of Le Belle so we thought why not try them both on together and see how it looks! With a few hands and some heavy tucking we put the two dresses together and I fell in love! To me this custom felt elegant, modern, fitted in the right places with a touch of drama at the hem!

I trusted Hera wholeheartedly with this design and was not disappointed – I loved it so much and it made me feel like a true bride – I didn’t know what this would look like until the day came around and I got into my dress. With the veil draped over my face and the first look in the memory I said to myself. This is it!

My advice for future brides would be to take your time to decide – your vision may change over the course of wedding planning and that’s okay but having some time to just mull things over really helped me. Take some chances and go bold – try all styles and keep your mind open and who knows you might find a custom two-in one dress just like me.

My experience with Hera Couture particularly Saina and the team was beyond perfect. Working in the eating disorder field I am particularly attuned towards size discrimination in the wedding industry which was something that turned me away from a lot of designers. I take my hat off to Hera for being authentically inclusive inside and out! Saina made me feel so comfortable and expressed genuine interest in my wedding process.
