Hera Couture’s custom built showroom is located on vibrant Karangahape Rd in Auckland, New Zealand.
With gorgeous heritage features and relaxing spaces, brides can experience our full collection in a range of sample sizes, either with one our trained Hera stylists or Katie herself.
Our Auckland showroom is open Monday to Saturday. While you need an appointment for a fitting, you are very welcome to pop in and view our wedding dress range at any time. We have collections to suit every woman, from minimal to iconic, modern or bespoke. And since we are within walking distance to Ponsonby’s cafes and boutiques you can make always make a day of it!
Frequently Asked Questions
Is an appointment required?
You need an appointment to try on our gowns. During this time we will introduce you to styles and fabrics and can go over any inspiration you bring in. However if you would simply like to browse our range, feel free to pop in anytime.
How much is an appointment?
A consultation at our flagship Ponsonby store is $50 per hour with one of our fabulous consultants, or $150 per hour for a one-on-one with Katie.
How quickly can I get an appointment?
We recommend booking up to two weeks in advance, especially if you’re after a Saturday appointment. Weekdays are less busy.
What should I expect at my first appointment?
Generally, in the first appointment we will introduce you to styles and fabrics and the look of our collection. We found that a 50-60 minutes appointment is often enough to give you an opportunity to identify which styles of gowns and silhouettes suit you and even for you to have found that perfect dress for your special day. If required, we may make a a further appointment to refine your ideas and measurements.
How many people can I bring to an appointment?
Our fitting areas can comfortably fit in up to five people (and a bit more if you don’t mind being a bit cosy).
What do I need to bring?
Appropriate underwear is the most important item. A flesh coloured, smooth bra is the best. White shadows fine fabrics and lace creates bumps.
Should I wear make-up?
We appreciate if you keep make-up to a minimum so we can keep our sample gowns pristine. Please avoid getting a spay tan less than a week before your appointment.
What if I run late or need to reschedule an appointment?
Arriving on time ensures you receive adequate time to work with the design ideas and style fittings. In the case you are late we may not be able to see you that day, especially during the weekend.
