After moving to Melbourne with our son, James, Brad and I were engaged and the planning begun! We completely fell in love with the gorgeous Yarra Valley. The first time we saw it, we knew our wedding would take place there.
We aren’t the most traditional of couples, so we did away with most of the usual wedding traditions. Brad and I got ready for the wedding at the same house, and kept our first look just between the two of us.
We arrived together, enjoying a cocktail and a chat with our guests before the ceremony started.
We also didn’t have a bridal party, I feel like they can create a bit of a divide between the guests at times. Everyone we’d invited was equally as important to us and we wanted them to feel that way!
We really focused on building a day that celebrated the love and closeness of our little family of three. With plenty of dance, we had a wedding that felt really inclusive for all of our extended family and friends.
