We first crossed paths in 2020 through a mutual friend who, in hindsight, may have been playing cupid. That first meeting was brief- there were other people around, and so we barely spoke. At the time, neither of us thought much of it; we were both focusing on our own lives, and had no idea what was ahead.
But less than a year later, we reconnected online, and this time, everything just clicked. Conversations flowed effortlessly, one message turned into another, and before we knew it, we were on our first date. From that moment on, everything felt easy. By February 5, 2021, we were official.
Ever since we started dating, we both knew we had found someone special- we just knew we were meant to be together.
Fun fact: Our story actually started even earlier. Josh remembered talking to me back in 2018, but I had completely forgotten. Looking back, it feels like life kept nudging us towards each other- until we finally found our way.
Gelsomina was the one.
But I didn’t realise it until I tried her on.
It was actually mum’s pick! I was looking for something simple and understated, especially since our wedding was an intimate celebration with the people who mean the most to us. I wanted a gown that felt elegant without being over the top, something that would complement the moment rather than overpower it.
The moment I put Gelsomina on, I never looked back. The fabric, the details-it felt so me. I tried on another gown afterwards, but no dress sparked the same feeling. Gelsomina made me feel like, this is my wedding day!
I felt excited and amazing- honestly, it was the most comfortable dress I’ve ever worn while also feeling elegant at the same time.
My advice to brides-to-be: Choose the dress that makes you feel perfect. I only tried on three gowns in total, and Hera was the only bridal boutique I visited. There was no need to keep searching-I just knew. If the process feels like a struggle or you find yourself second-guessing, you might not have found the one yet. The right dress should feel like a natural, effortless choice. I hope that helps!

Our entire wedding day was incredibly special- it was, without a doubt, the happiest day of our lives.
Having all our loved ones there to witness our love and commitment meant the whole world to us. But what stood out the most was how present we felt throughout the day. I still remember walking down the aisle- locking eyes with Josh, seeing his smile, his tears, and hearing his vows. At that moment, nothing else existed. It was absolutely perfect.
