We’ve known each other for many years but we’d always lived in different cities or countries. After we both returned to New Zealand during Covid to be with family, I was a bridesmaid at my best friend’s wedding and he says when he saw me walk down the aisle at the ceremony he just knew he had to speak with me and reconnect. From that day, the rest is history – we fell in love and haven’t been apart since! We both feel so lucky to have found each other again!
I fell in love with the look of the Lalune Gown online – the bow and the pearls gave it a uniqueness that I adored – and I had my eye on it when I initially went to try on dresses at Hera. It really spoke to me, I wanted something that was romantic, feminine and a blend of classic and modern – the Lalune gown felt like “the one” as soon as I tried it on! My advice to other brides would be to have as many images saved of gowns that you like elements of, to help refine what it really is you’re looking for, but also to trust the incredible team at Hera and try on a range of styles as you may be surprised at what feels right! I was almost tempted into another Hera gown, but the Lalune was the one for me!
The moment my now husband, Dom, saw me when I turned the corner to walk down the aisle and I saw him say “WOW” and tear up. It was the most incredible moment and time stood still in that moment. It was also so special having our beautiful 9-month-old baby girl part of the wedding, seeing her at the end of the aisle with Dom melted my heart.
