I’m a hopeless romantic and Milan is probably the kindest soul I know. Milan and I met 12 years ago through our extended friends but our love story started just over six years ago at a BYO birthday dinner. We actually talked on snapchat (old school) for about six months before finally seeing each other again in person. The relationship progressed so naturally and day by day he became my person and very quickly I realised my life wouldn’t make sense without him. Ever since then, we’ve travelled the world together, bought a house together, adopted a dog and had a baby. Our one rule is to have fun no matter what we’re doing. Sometimes it’s housework with the music on and other times it’s throwing a massive party with all our loved ones and saying I do. Life is too short for us to be too serious!

My wedding gown…. let’s discuss. My biggest thing was my insecurity around the size of my breasts. I’m a 16GG and I didn’t want them spilling out or on parade at all ready. Le Belle V2 somehow made them look 3 cup sizes smaller but didn’t hide them completely. My partner is a boobs man so I didn’t want them completely hidden but they supported them so well I felt secure and comfortable. My brief was timeless, sassy with a bit of sex and Le Belle V2 delivered all of that. The leg split was a stand out for me and I knew when I walked down the aisle in it to Milan he’d say “yep that’s my girl” in this dress. I asked him later and he said the dress was me to an absolute T. My tip? Try them all on! It’s such a fun process why just try 1 or 2? You don’t know what they look like on you unless you try. Going to my first appointment at Hera is a part of the wedding planning process that I’ll treasure forever.

I walked into the store and was instantly greeted by 3 or 4 smiles. I’m a curvy girl and my bridesmaid Meg wanted me to experience what it’s like to try on a dress that actually fits instead of just a sample size 10. Honestly? I could have 6 or 7 dresses from Hera if my budget allowed ha! All of them were stunning but the minute I put on Le Belle V2 I knew she was mine. The way she snatched my waist and hugged me was actual perfection and I felt like she was designed and made with my exact body type in mind. Katie is a dress whisperer. I have to say that Saina, my stylist, was incredible. She made me feel beautiful, sexy, sassy and like a princess all in one (how is that even possible!). The whole team was incredible and every visit to the store left me feeling empowered and smiling ear to ear.
