Cam and I met in 2017 when he came to the primary school I was working in, to speak and inspire our students! We barely said hi to each other but connected on IG. We made each other known of our existence by liking each other’s photos and eventually slid into each other’s DM’s and he finally asked me out two years later! The rest was history.

I simply knew I wanted an A-line gown and wanted it to be timeless. This was the third dress I tried on and I just knew! The corset, the sleeves and the train was just dreamy and everything I dreamt of and more. Even as a little girl I always wanted the Princess Diana sleeves and I am so glad the puffy sleeves are back! My tip for other brides is to do your research and have a look of the style, the cut, the fabric that you want but not to feel so stuck with it. Keep an open mind when trying on dresses and enjoy every moment of the process. Bring your tribe to your appointment!

The most special part of the day was walking down the aisle towards my prince charming and seeing the church filled with everyone I love and everyone who has walked along the journey with me with life, love and family. This was my dream come true! Our first dance, I have to say, was also another special one, I was able to really showcase my dress in my twist and turns!

At my first fitting I met Hannah and she was very warm and kind! She attended to my needs and my vision. While I had my own ideas, she also opened my eyes to the other gorgeous pieces! Hence, falling in love with my floral organza gown! The rest of my fittings, I was taken care of by Jackie and she is an absolute gem. So easy to talk to and made me feel very ‘at home’. Everyone in Hera Couture adds to the magic of the experience. I am a tad sad I don’t get to come to talk to them anymore!
